One of the first items that we love and have been making a statement in the wedding world this year is Silk Ribbon. Ribbons are a stable accent when creating wedding florals, and we have found that they are just getting more practical, durable and beautiful! With this new style of silk ribbon there are so many options to designing the perfect look for you. Silk ribbon is softer, flexible, colorful and smoother. They offer a lush flowing look that the average wedding ribbon does now. We also love that these ribbons are often hand dyed, creating gorgeous color schemes personalizing them for each décor vision. There are so many beautiful things that can be done with these ribbons from bouquets, boutonnieres, bride and groom chairs, pew décor and more. We truly think you will be seeing a lot more of this fantastic design element in 2020!

Hey Wedding Lady

The next thing that we really love and I’m sure you guys know this is from our social media is the famous Pampas Grass. Pampas grass came in a big way this year in the wedding industry, and it’s not slowing down! For those of you don’t know what pampas grass is, it is a naturally grown element that can be displayed fresh or dried. It’s beachy, feathery, fluffy, blows gracefully in the wind and it just gorgeous. We love that pampas grass is used in so many different ways from aisle displays, ceremony backgrounds and even bouquets. We also adore pampas grass for its versatility; it works impeccably for a variety of wedding styles from bohemian, rustic, dessert, vintage and more. Pampas grass is here to stay and we know that it is going to be even bigger and better in 2020.

The next favorite thing that we are excited to share with you is Copper Accents! While 2018 was the year of mixed metals from gold, silver and metallic, 2019 came out with a similar trend; cooper/rose gold accents. This is something that we are absolutely in love with for multiple aspects of the wedding decor. There are so many different things you can do with these elements to accent your color story in a subtle or bold way, depending on your preference. We love that not only can copper hard goods offer an industrial or modern vibe, but it can also lend itself to a warm cozy vintage appeal, depending on how you style it of course! It’s so trendy, but in a good way! Copper accents are really great way to add flair to your big day, and some of our favorite ways of incorporating it in include floral stands/vases, candlesticks, flatware, charger plates, and more. This trend just got its kick off in 2019 and we truly think that 2020 is going to be used by more wedding influencers throughout the world!

Another trend that we know you guys have seen us talk about is of course Hand-tied Bouquets. As we said the industry is growing and things are changing and we are hoping right on board this bouquet train. This may indeed be our favorite thing on our list (but shh don’t tell the others). Of course we love the classic round bouquet, wildflower goodness or a modern cluster, but were ready to get creative and try something new. Hand-tied bouquets are known to be a v-shaped formation, and are usually composed of a mix of greens, variety of grass, novelty blooms and more. We must say the hand-tied bouquets is a showstopper and definitely draws the eye in. While designing your bouquet in this style, its important to firstly pick flowers that you love, but also note that it helps to bring dimension with a variety of sizes, colors, textures, shapes and more. Hand-tied bouquets or v-shaped arrangements truly make a statement and fit in with a magnitude of styles from romantic, beachy, woodsy, industrial more. Get creative and remember no bouquet is ever the same!

The last wedding trend we loved in 2019 is timeless. Including Fresh Fruit into your wedding day designs. I’m sure you may be thinking that sounds a bit the outdated or even visualizing a Renaissance painting, but we are here to tell you that it really works! Fresh fruit is a fun accent that can work in almost every season. From fall, winter and summer, it is a great natural accent. The first thing we love about using fruit is that it offers shades of colors that cannot be man made. These colors will pop on your table and give a little more dimensions to your color story. It also offers a variety of textures, shapes and aesthetic elements. During your bright and colorful summer wedding why not include pops of citrus by featuring oranges, lemons, limes, tangerines and more. Another time we love to use fruit in during the fall/winter or for holiday weddings. Pears, apples, pomegranates, persimmons, grapes and more are the perfect touch for a festive, warm and cozy feeling. We absolutely love including fresh fruit into many décor elements from tablescapes, bar arrangements, cake decor, buffet displays, personal florals and more. Get creative with fruit; it’s timeless, it’s fresh and it always makes a statement!
