On March 3rd, 2019 The Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY was transformed into a sleek and modern musical masterpiece! It’s a year later and we are reflecting on this absolutely fabulous affair for Alex’s Bar Mitzvah and can’t wait to share with you the designs, vision and décor that brought this mitzvah to life!

Our client came to us with an initial vision that included the birthday boys love for music, and we knew this was the base for our theme! Our clients wanted the space to be sophisticated yet fun and youthful, and we were able to make these two ideas vibe into one! Take an inside look to where we were a year ago, setting up, decorating and celebrating Alex’s musical mitzvah!

When guests arrived at The Paramount Theater, they walked into a lobby and were overwhelmed by their welcome! Awesome posters of the nights honoree hung along the brick walls, along with a one of a kind seating chart featuring Alex’s mitzvah logo and champagne upon arrival (for those of age of course)! With this funky entrance, the guests already knew they were in for a good time that night.

As guests proceeded to walk into the reception space, they were just as blown away as we were! The first thing that caught your eye was of course the incredible piano inspired dance floor and stage. This dance floor was design especially for this marvelous night and it truly made the room complete. Dancing on giant pianos keys all night had us reminiscing and living out our “Big” fantasies (movie reference of course!) But, the dance floor doesn’t stop there! Of course Alex’s logo was shinning bright for all to see right in the center, which also helped bring your eyes up to the ceiling…hanging neon light sticks filled the space above the dance floor. This was honestly one of our favorite parts of the space. It was fresh, modern and such a special touch for our client and all of their guests to enjoy. Check it out below!

As we know you can’t be on the dance floor ALL night, even though you want to be, its also important to have a beautiful space for guests to rest, relax, and replenish! While initially working with our clients, we knew that the room was going to have a sleek and modern look to it, but we also wanted to add a pop of color, so naturally we went with black, white, silver and a fun pop of red!
These high style centerpieces consist of a modern acrylic base and a white and black striped shade (to resemble a piano of course) for height and dimension. High centerpieces work beautifully in this room because the ceilings are never ending! And, we did not forget about our pop of color…red roses filled the tables in contemporary platted glass vases. Next, we wanted to add in a few funky features to incorporate all of our colors even more including black goblets, mirror charger plates, silver candleholders and wire spheres.

The next centerpiece style we created was specifically designed for this event. This style centerpiece was an avant-garde sculpture created with black, white and mirror chards. This piece may be hard to visualize while reading our description, but it was so cool, contemporary and innovative! Check out the picture below, you won’t be disappointed!

What is a Bar Mitzvah without a kids lounge?! Kids are the main focus of the night and we wanted to make them feel like they walked into an alternate universe for a few hours and just have fun being kids! Sleek white couches, red and black pillows with awesome musical logos and rock candy centerpieces spiced up this fun and friendly kids area!

The fun doesn’t end there! Of course this Bar Mitzvah included fun performances with our mitzvah boy and his on stage debut, indoor fireworks, lots of swag for guests to take home, a personalized foosball table and special end of the night treats that always hit the spot!
